Instant Linseed

Ready cooked and ready to feed, our full fat linseed meal has to be one of Nature’s own health foods! With all the well documented benefits of good levels of omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids. Linseed is also renowned for its anti-oxidant effects. High nutritive value builds condition and improves stamina. Useful source of copper, selenium and phosphate. Very low starch levels so safer for working horses prone to tying up, laminitics and veterans. Select varieties of linseed are grown just for Simple System Ltd, ensuring complete traceability. Produces a stunning coat essential for all show horses.

Pure Ocean Seaweed

Choosing a clean ocean source ensures purity. The single variety, Ascophylum nodosum, concentrates the sea’s minerals into a bio-available and balanced form. A full compliment of amino acids and vitamins makes seaweed an unrivalled complementary feed. Lower in iodine than kelp. Users have found improved coat, hooves, helps to optimise fertility and resistance to disease. Especially useful for over weights requiring nutrients without excess calories, horses working hard, stallions at stud and youngstock.

Traditional Brewers' Yeast

The perfect natural source of a wide range of B vitamins, Brewers’ Yeast has long been a favourite of horse keepers. Helps to support horses with behavioural problems, prone to anxiety, mareishness and travel stress. Its high quality amino acids encourage a healthy population of gut flora, ensuring better hindgut digestion. Also provides copper and zinc. Particularly useful for hard working horses, lactating mares, anxious and problem horses.

Total Eclipse

A carefully balanced blend of Instant Linseed, Pure Ocean Seaweed and Brewers’ Yeast, Total Eclipse is the ultimate forage balancer. High levels of nutrients in a slow release form ensure that equilibrium is maintained mentally and physically. Can be combined with all feeding systems, but perfect with a forage-based diet.

Lunar Eclipse

Developed specifically for moody mares, hormonally challenged, stressed and temperamental equines. Comprised of Instant Linseed, Traditional Brewers Yeast and Epsom Salts (magnesium sulphate). An effective complementary feed offering high levels of nutritional support, good quality proteins, natural B vitamins and extra magnesium. Stressed horses respond to vitamin B; hormonal ones can improve with yeast or linseed; and low magnesium levels have been associated with behavioural difficulties.

Eclipse Recovery

A tonic feed based on fermented wild flower meadow forages from Austria, with horseradish. High in naturally occurring minerals and metabolites of microbial fermentation. Appears to optimise the immune system and aids recovery from viral infection. Safe for all horses. Does not contain yeast. One 5kg pack is used as a course.

MetaSlim

A carefully sourced and balanced complementary feed, developed in consultation with a leading Veterinary Surgeon to optimize blood sugar levels, insulin effectiveness and metabolic rate. Will support hormonal balance and maintain healthy functioning of the pituitary gland. Appropriate for horses and ponies which are prone to laminitis, overweight, have fat pads or crests and appear depressed. Feed alone or mix with Lucie Stalks or soaked Purabeet. Other supplementation should not be necessary.

Garlic Powder and Granules

Garlic has been used with horses for centuries. Ours is pure, whole garlic, nothing added or removed, so is very strong. Garlic has well documented health benefits including helping to maintain circulation of the blood. Source of sulphur. The Powder may be more readily assimilated; the Flakes are more pleasant to handle.

Justamint

This is a pure herbal spearmint, finely cut which horses love. Fussy eaters are encouraged by the addition of a little to the feed; believed to aid digestion and reduce flatulence.

PuraMint Pellets

The natural way to feed peppermint. Peppermint as a feed ingredient is known to help optimise the health of the upper respiratory tract and digestive tract. Can be used as a training aid which is free from added sugar. The pellets are produced to human pharmacopeia standards.

Organic Cider Vinegar

Described by some as nature’s secret recipe. Organic Cider Vi n e g a r is reputed to have many health promoting properties. It is thought to help maintain a healthy circulatory system by maximising the fluidity of the blood and optimising the acid balance of the body, aiding the health of the vital organs. Other reported benefits may include aiding digestion, constipation, and the absorption of potassium, detoxifying after drug and worming treatments, along with possessing anti-bacterial properties. In former times Organic Cider Vinegar was used to help combat obesity. Simple System Ltd Organic Cider Vinegar is full strength. It is something we would recommend for elderly and stiff horses in particular.

Pure Salt Lick Bucket

A pure organic salt lick in a bucket for all horses and ponies. Salt is perhaps the most important electrolyte for all horses and ponies and can be made available ad lib in the field or stable. The Simple System Ltd Saltlick Bucket contains sodium and a top up of magnesium in pure salt form approved and certified by The Soil Association. It is suitable for use in all circumstances including organic pasture.
